VolunteerNow designs a practical, proprietary curriculum based on our 50 years of experience in working with organizations to improve their recruitment, engagement, and retention of volunteers. Every course we offer features core competencies as identified by the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration (CCVA).  Facilitators are subject matter experts, hand-picked based on their understanding of nonprofits and volunteerism.

workshop: Strategic Volunteer Recruitment FOR BEGINNERS

In this interactive 2 hour workshop you'll assess your recruitment strategy and learn how to message to different audience types. This training is great for new or seasoned volunteer managers. Learn how to assess organizational needs and identify target groups of volunteers to fill those needs. Together we will practice creating volunteer opportunities in VOLY.org as we adapt them to meet your needs. Implement new mission focused strategies while learning how to uniquely message different audiences and practice building targeted opportunities.

Attendees receive a workbook with volunteer types and step by step strategies that can be applied across their entire volunteer program.

BUILDING A VOLUNTEER TOOLKIT

In this hands-on workshop, participants will develop a toolkit for volunteer engagement.  Working from templates, participants will be guided to establish volunteer policies and procedures, a volunteer handbook, job descriptions, orientation and training and key documents that are fundamental to a successful volunteer program. The course is ideal for anyone wishing to start or upgrade a volunteer program including nonprofit volunteer coordinators, executive directors, development staff and volunteer leaders. 

Attendees receive templates, real time feedback, and the opportunity to review current policies and procedures.
